Location: Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 8am - 4pm
Salary: £40-45k per year, dependent on experience

Join Our Team

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician who enjoys a varied role involving both reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance across a range of electrical building services.

Working independently and as part of a team, you'll help ensure our facilities are maintained to the highest standards while delivering an excellent service to our customers. Must have experience in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Diagnose and repair faults on electrical systems up to 415V.
  • Complete minor electrical installation works, including lighting and small power.
  • Accurately complete maintenance records, job sheets, and service documentation.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with current legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.
  • Work closely with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to deliver a high-quality service.
  • Support other trades and undertake additional duties as reasonably required by management.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Need to live within an hours travel from the hospital for call out purposes.
  • Need to have an ECS gold card level 3
  • In date emergency first aid at work certificate.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or industrial environments.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems up to 415V.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A proactive approach to health and safety.
  • Flexibility to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
