Monday- Friday (9am - 5.30pm)
Alexander Steele are delighted to be supporting an FMCG manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimal production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to breakdowns and complete fault-finding activities.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Utilise the CMMS system to manage work orders, maintenance records, and spare parts.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety, food safety, and site standards.
- Maintain engineering tools and equipment in a safe working condition.
- Work closely with production teams to maximise plant performance.
- Support engineering projects and other maintenance activities as required.
Skills & Experience
- Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, bearings, electrical control systems, and process equipment.
- Experience using CMMS systems.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- FMCG experience.
- Engineering qualifications (electrical or mechanical).
- Experience driving continuous improvement activities.
