The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and fault finding across high-speed automated production machinery.
You'll be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical breakdowns
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Fault-finding across automated production machinery
- Working with conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, sensors and other manufacturing equipment
- Responding to breakdowns and minimising equipment downtime
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and improving equipment reliability
- Working closely with Production and Engineering teams
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety
About You
We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer with:
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food, automotive or another automated environment
- Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience
- Strong experience across PPM, reactive and breakdown maintenance
- Experience with production machinery and automated equipment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- An engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent
- PLC experience is advantageous but not essential
Shift Pattern
- Monday–Friday rotating 3-shift pattern
- 8-hour shifts across mornings, lates and nights
- No weekends
