This Maintenance Engineer role sits within a busy manufacturing environment where no two days are quite the same. The factory is full of in-house machinery, steel fabrication equipment, laser welding technology and automated production lines. It's fast paced, hands-on and there's always something happening.
The team are experienced and know the business inside out. Several have strong mechanical backgrounds, but they're looking to strengthen the electrical side of the department. That's why this Maintenance Engineer opportunity has become available.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll spend your time carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns and making sure production keeps running. Everything is logged through handheld devices, giving you a clear maintenance plan rather than leaving you firefighting all day.
The business wants preventative maintenance to stay exactly where it should be. At the heart of everything they do.
If you've got experience with PLC programming, you'll already know just how valuable that skill is. Here, it's a genuine requirement rather than something that's "nice to have". If you're electrically biased with solid PLC programming experience, we'd really like to speak with you.
Equally, if your strengths are more mechanical but you have good electrical knowledge, we'd still welcome a conversation.
As a Maintenance Engineer you'll ideally have:
- - 3-5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment
- - A multi-skilled background with an electrical bias
- - PLC programming experience
- - The confidence to work independently and prioritise your workload
- - A practical approach to fault finding and problem solving
In return you'll receive:
- - £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
- - Three-shift rotation
- - 28 days' annual leave including a Christmas shutdown
