Maintenance Technician in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Rate: £30 per hour FCSA Umbrella (Inside IR35) OR £22 PAYE
Duration: 12 months, with likely extension
Start: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am – 4:30pm and 8am – 1pm Fridays. 9-day fortnight.

We are actively looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a global automotive company based in Peterborough.

This is a varied role with exposure to a wide range of facility and test cell equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns across testbeds and other facility equipment, carrying out fault finding and repairs.
• Maintain, repair and install new facility equipment.
• Use a range of hand and power tools and lifting equipment in accordance with standard procedures.
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.

Requirements

• Completed engineering apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, tools, equipment and processes.
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial or plant maintenance environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings and schematics.
