This fulfilling role is all about building a positive and respectful partnership with a young man, supporting him to grow in confidence, develop greater independence and achieve his personal goals while enjoying new experiences.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Full UK driving licence, and have access to your own vehicle.
The role
In this role, you will be supporting Sam, a young man who lives independently in his own home in Parkstone. You’ll play a key part in supporting him to navigate everyday life, whether that’s at home, out in the community, or exploring new opportunities.
No two days will e the same and you will have the opportunity to get involved in a range of different activities that Sam enjoys. Some of his favourite things to do include: signing his heart out at the local Karaoke, catching the latest film at the cinema, challenging staff to a game of mini golf and enjoying a relaxing swim at the local pool. On quieter days Sam enjoys spending time at home, playing board games or settling down to watch his favourite Marvel film.
Sam is supported on a 1:1 basis and relies on his support staff to make the most of each day. He uses visual aids to help him plan and understand his day. We have been fortunate to support Sam since the beginning of 2025, when he joined our 'Futures' project and he was welcomed in to our Adult Services programme in March 2026.
As a valued member of the team, you'll provide a mix of practical, meaningful and person-centered support. This will include helping with daily routines such as food preparation, shopping and personal care, to accompanying Sam as he accesses the community and pursue his interests. You may also assist with administering medication to ensure his wellbeing.
