Manual / Conventional Machinist – XYZ Axis

Pay Rate: £15.00 – £15.50 per hour
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:00pm
Location: Stoke

We are looking for an experienced Manual / Conventional Machinist to join our manufacturing team, working with XYZ Axis machinery.

This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced machinist with a strong manufacturing background, good attention to detail and the ability to work confidently from engineering drawings.

The Role

• Operating manual / conventional XYZ Axis machinery

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

• Setting and machining components accurately to specification

• Selecting appropriate tooling and machining methods

• Carrying out measurements and quality checks

• Troubleshooting and resolving practical machining issues

• Working to production targets and deadlines

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Manual / Conventional Machinist

• Experience working with XYZ Axis machinery

• Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings

• Solid background in a manufacturing environment

• Strong practical and problem-solving skills

• Hands-on approach with good attention to detail

• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Reliable, hardworking and able to use initiative

• Quality-focused with a pride in producing accurate work

Working Hours & Pay

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
£15.00 – £15.50 per hour, depending on experience
