Manual Turner

Trident Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Turner to join a leading precision engineering company based in Rugby.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience operating Colchester manual lathes, XYZ Proturn lathes, or a toolmaking background to secure a well-paid weekend or permanent night shift position.

The Role

• Operating Colchester manual lathes and XYZ Proturn lathes
• Manufacturing one-off and small batch precision components
• Working from detailed engineering drawings to tight tolerances
• Carrying out manual turning operations including facing, boring, threading and finishing
• Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
• Working independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Manual Turner
• Experience using Colchester manual lathes and/or XYZ Proturn lathes
• A Toolmaker with strong manual machining experience will also be considered
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
