Location: Ashington Campus, Northumberland (relocating to Wansbeck Campus later in the year)

Contract: Temporary (11–12 weeks initially) with permanent opportunities available

Hours: Full Time – 37 hours per week

Salary: £20 - £50 per hour

Start Date: August/September 2026

Lecturer & Programme Lead – Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering

The Supply Register is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Northumberland College for a Lecturer & Programme Lead – Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional or Engineering Lecturer to join a growing department, delivering industry-relevant qualifications while helping to shape the next generation of engineers.

The role will initially be based at the Ashington Campus, before moving to the brand-new Wansbeck Campus later this year.

The Role

You will deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons across Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering programmes, supporting learners to develop the skills required for successful engineering careers.

Teaching may include areas such as:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Manufacturing Processes
  • Milling & Turning
  • Workshop Skills
  • Measurement & Inspection
  • Engineering Mathematics
  • Bench Fitting
  • Electrical Installation
  • Welding Theory
  • Health & Safety
  • Engineering Communications

You'll also assess learner progress, maintain high standards of teaching and contribute to curriculum development.

We're Looking For
  • Level 5 (or above) qualification in an Engineering discipline
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards for permanent opportunities)
  • Industry experience within manufacturing or engineering
  • Experience mentoring apprentices, supervising teams or delivering training is welcomed
  • Enhanced DBS (required before starting)
