Manufacturing Production Engineer in Cirencester, Gloucestershire

Selexa Life Sciences are partnered with a leading medical device manufacturer in the search for an experienced Manufacturing Production Engineer to join its UK manufacturing operation.

Double Day shift - Monday to Friday, no weekends.

The role will act as a technical subject matter expert across CNC machinery, manufacturing processes and systems, supporting production performance, quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set, operate, troubleshoot and optimise CNC machinery and programmes.
• Provide technical support across manufacturing equipment, processes and systems.
• Train, coach and develop machinists and manufacturing associates.
• Identify and resolve technical and production issues.
• Support quality investigations, non-conformances and CAPA activity.
• Drive Lean, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve productivity, efficiency and lead times.
• Support first-time-right manufacturing and maintain high quality standards.
• Work closely with Production, Process Engineering, Quality and Maintenance teams.
• Maintain accurate manufacturing and quality documentation.
• Support CMM and manual inspection activities.
• Promote a safe, efficient and well-organised manufacturing environment.

Candidate Requirements:

• Significant experience in CNC setting, operating and programming.
• Engineering qualification or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience within a regulated, high-precision manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement.
• Strong technical fault-finding and problem-solving capability.
• Experience training, mentoring or supporting manufacturing teams.
• Understanding of quality systems and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, production and quality functions.
