Site Engineer in Wigan, Greater Manchester

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer on behalf of our client, an established and growing civil engineering and groundworks contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy contractor delivering a range of civil engineering, infrastructure and groundworks projects. Our client is open to both freelance and permanent candidates, offering flexibility depending on individual circumstances.

• Setting out for groundworks, drainage, foundations, roads and associated civil engineering works.

  
  
  

• Ensuring works are delivered accurately and in accordance with drawings and specifications.

  
  
  

• Carrying out site surveys, level checks and quality inspections.

  
  
  

• Maintaining accurate site records, QA documentation and as-built information.

  
  
  

• Liaising with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors.

  
  
  

• Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.

  
  
  

• Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.

  
  
  

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or groundworks.

  
  
  

• Confident using setting-out equipment, including GPS and Total Stations.

  
  
  

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

  
  
  

• Strong understanding of site engineering processes and QA procedures.

  
  
  

• Good communication and organisational skills.

  
  
  

• CSCS card.

  
  
  

• Relevant engineering qualification preferred.
