MERITUS are recruiting for a Stores Operative to join a leading Systems Integration Consultancy, supporting the efficient management of materials, inventory and tooling to ensure the successful delivery of control panels and electrical systems for critical infrastructure projects.

MATERIAL CONTROLLER - £NEG (ENQUIRE FOR DETAILS) - STONE, STAFFORDSHIRE

We're looking for an organised and proactive Material Controller to support the day-to-day running of the stores function. You'll play a key role in receiving deliveries, managing inventory, issuing materials to production teams and maintaining accurate records, helping ensure engineering projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.



Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process deliveries, ensuring all documentation is accurate and recorded within the ERP system.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently.
  • Issue materials, components and consumables to production teams while maintaining full traceability.
  • Liaise with production and engineering teams to ensure materials are available in line with project schedules.
  • Order and maintain stock levels of consumables where required.
  • Control the issue of PPE and maintain associated records.
  • Manage the calibration process for tools and equipment, ensuring calibration records remain up to date.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe stores environment.


Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Previous experience working within a stores, warehouse or materials control environment.
  • Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using computerised inventory or ERP systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and engineering teams.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of electrical components or an electrical engineering background.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Nav ERP.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
