Join Our Team as a Material Handler in Barry!

Are you ready to step into a role that keeps the wheels of manufacturing turning? We're looking for a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Barry! This is an exciting temporary opportunity where your contributions will directly impact our production flow. Please note this is a 12 month contract

Shift pattern on a 4 week rotational basis:

Week 1- 6am-2pm

Week 2 - 9am-5pm

Week 3- 6am-2pm

Week 4 - 1pm-9pm

and 1 weekend per month (Weekend after the week of lates on a paid overtime basis)

Salary: Starting from £31,554 per annum with a monthly shift allowance of £234 per month.

What You'll Do:

As a Material Handler, your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and Organising Materials: Ensure all incoming materials are received, checked for quality, and organised efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktaking.
  • Material Movement: Safely transport materials throughout the facility using forklifts and hand trucks.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of materials to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to ensure materials are available when needed.

What We're Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (preferred but not essential).
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training can be provided!).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • FLT experience is preferred but not essential
