Description
- Review daily customer demand and production requirements.
- Create and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Raise and manage purchase orders with suppliers.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Manage material availability to support production plans.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding lead times, deliveries and pricing.
- Challenge and negotiate supplier price increases where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate ERP system and master data records.
- Review minimum stock levels and replenishment parameters.
- Assist with container planning and supplier management across global supply chains.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and operational efficiency.
- Ensure material shortages and supply risks are proactively managed.
Profile
A successful 'Material Planner' should have:
- Experience within Material Planning, Production Planning, Purchasing or Supply Chain.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to ERP systems, ideally SAP.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Positive team player who enjoys working within a collaborative and supportive environment.
