Position: Assembler

Location: East London

Proactive are currently recruiting for a Workshop Assembler to join a well-established engineering manufacturer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building, assembling and testing specialist electro-mechanical products, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and meets customer quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical products from initial build through to final inspection.
• Follow engineering drawings, assembly instructions and technical documentation to complete builds accurately.
• Use a range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Complete production records, inspection documents and testing paperwork accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to achieve daily targets.

Skills:

• Previous experience within mechanical, electrical or electro-mechanical assembly.
• Ability to understand and follow technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools and basic electrical test equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused approach.
