Mechanical Construction Manager

For a data centre in Hamina, Finland, we need a Mechanical Construction Manager to start immediately.
This is to start immediately on a long term project.
You must have an EU passport or the Right to Work in Finland.
Client
Our client are a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Mainland Europe, the Nordics and the UK.
They are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Power Generation.
Role
Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion
Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs, while overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to successfully deliver cutting edge projects
Ability to determine project schedule needs, provide support in the completion of project schedule, 12 weeks look aheads, reporting on site progress and highlighting future issues / roadblocks to progress to Main Contractor / Companies contracts manager
Conduct regular safety walks of the site and report to site supervisor for closure
Conduct regular quality walks of the site and report to site supervisor for closure
Lead commissioning activities ensuring timely completion and reporting of roadblock and follow up to ensure prompt closure
Requirements
10+ years' experience in a construction manager / senior supervisor role, must include pharmaceutical
5+ years' experience in team management (supervisors and craft manloader planning and execution, productivity management, up to 10 supervisors and 100 craft) and weekly reporting to Contracts Manager
Excellent technical knowledge of piping – supporting, installation, welding, testing, sloping and handover
Excellent technical knowledge of quality requirements associated with piping installation
Strong knowledge of Navisworks 3D model navigation, isometric drawings and supervisor workpack monitoring
Strong experience in management of project schedule
Commercially aware
Good knowledge of construction health and safety requirements and the implementation of RAMS, SPA’s, and other daily / weekly H&S requirements
Background in piping installation with experience in hygienic piping and orbital welding an advantage
Third level qualification in construction / mechanical engineering a distinct advantage
