Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design activities from concept through qualification and production release
- Interpret customer and airworthiness requirements to define compliant design solutions
- Create engineering drawings, 3D CAD models and bill of materials to company standards
- Validate designs through analysis, testing and performance evaluation activities
- Provide engineering support to manufacturing, resolving technical and design-related issues
- Collaborate cross-functionally with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver programme milestones
Mechanical Design Engineer
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in mechanical product design within a regulated engineering environment
- Strong 3D CAD experience
- Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication or brazing
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
