Mechanical Engineer (Contract) – Uxbridge 

Location: Uxbridge (Work from home, Monday & Friday) 
Contract: Long-Term Contract
Rate: £400 - 500 a day 

Our client, a leading Mechanical Building Services design consultancy, is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding projects team on a long-term contract based at Uxbridge. 

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of prestigious MEP projects within one of the UK's busiest and most technically demanding environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering innovative mechanical design solutions while working alongside an experienced and collaborative team.

The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for producing mechanical building services designs for a variety of commercial and infrastructure projects. You will support the Mechanical Design Manager, work closely with multidisciplinary design teams, and work closely with the management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed mechanical building services designs
• Support the Mechanical Design Manager in the successful delivery of multiple projects.
• Prepare design calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate designs with clients, consultants and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure all designs comply with current Building Regulations, British Standards and industry best practice.
• Manage your workload to deliver projects on time and within budget.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer within the Building Services sector.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services design.
• Experience working on commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to represent the business in meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a project team.
