You'll work across production and process equipment, combining hands-on maintenance with continuous improvement while helping minimise downtime and maintain high standards across the site.

Your responsibilities as Mechanical Engineer
- Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance across production equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Repair, maintain and improve production machinery to support reliable site performance
- Deliver equipment installations, modifications and continuous improvement projects
- Maintain Health & Safety, Food Safety and GMP standards while completing accurate maintenance documentation
- Work closely with Production and Technical teams to resolve equipment issues and improve performance
What we’re looking for in a Mechanical Engineer
- Time-served Multi-Skilled Engineer with food manufacturing or FMCG experience
- HNC or equivalent electrical qualification, with strong fault-finding skills and the ability to read electrical drawings
- Practical experience with welding, fabrication and pneumatic systems
- PLC fault finding and inverter experience
- Experience within meat or food processing, supervisory exposure or a Health & Safety qualification would be advantageous
Working hours: 2:00pm–10:00pm
