Mechanical Estimator - New Build in Wolverhampton

Hygrove Partners are recruiting a Mechanical Estimator on behalf of one of the fastest-growing, most modern and exciting construction firms in the UK, delivering mechanical and renewable installations across new build and social housing developments.

The Role:

Producing accurate, competitive mechanical estimates for new build residential developments and social housing contracts, from tender enquiry through to handover to the delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pricing mechanical packages including heating, plumbing, ventilation (MVHR) and air source heat pumps
• Carrying out take-offs from drawings and specifications
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Preparing tender submissions, cost plans and value engineering options
• Working closely with the bid, commercial and operations teams
• Attending tender and client meetings where required

What We're Looking For:

• Proven mechanical estimating experience, ideally within new build residential or social housing
• Strong knowledge of domestic heating, plumbing and low-carbon technologies
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
• Confident using estimating software and Excel
• Own transport
