Location: Telford
Salary: £17.80ph (Approximately £36,000+ pro rata), plus overtime opportunities.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter, Tester, or Assembly Technician looking for your next contract opportunity?

We're recruiting for a leading engineering manufacturer in Telford that designs and builds bespoke material handling equipment supplied to customers worldwide. Due to increased workload, we are looking for skilled Mechanical Fitters / Testers to join the team on an immediate 2-month contract, with overtime available and the opportunity to work on complex, high-quality machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical assembly and fitting from technical engineering drawings
• Installation of hydraulic systems, components and pipework
• Testing, commissioning and fault finding on completed machinery
• Using hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment safely
• Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards
• Maintaining accurate documentation and workshop housekeeping
• Supporting team members and contributing to continuous improvement

What We're Looking For:

• Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Previous mechanical fitting, machine assembly, or equipment build experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A proactive approach with a strong focus on quality, safety and teamwork
