The company is looking for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team and provide essential maintenance support across a fast-paced production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys a hands-on role and wants to work for a stable, successful business.

The Role:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping production equipment and plant operating safely and efficiently. Working as part of the site engineering team, you will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, helping to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide hands-on support across the production lines
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on plant and machinery
- Diagnose mechanical faults and identify effective solutions to minimise production downtime
- Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Support continuous improvement, reliability and cost-saving initiatives
- Work closely with production colleagues to ensure equipment performance and availability
Requirements:
- Ideally apprenticeship trained, with a Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent
- Strong mechanical maintenance skills gained within a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience working on production machinery, plant or automated equipment
- A good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance
- Experience of automated production systems would be advantageous
- A hands-on approach with good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
