We are currently looking for experienced Mechanical Project Managers to join a growing team delivering a range of high-quality Cat B fit-out, plant replacement and mechanical fit-out projects across London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager who has a strong background working with Tier 1 fit-out contractors and is looking to take full ownership of mechanical projects from delivery through to completion.
The Projects
Projects are based across London, all within the M25, and will include:
- Cat B commercial fit-out projects
- Plant replacement schemes
- Mechanical fit-out projects
- Full Design & Build delivery from Stage 3 onwards
- Working alongside specialist CDP contractors
- Ventilation
- Public Health
- Mechanical sprinkler systems
- VRF heating & cooling
- BMS
- Mechanical pipework
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the mechanical delivery of your projects, working closely with the electrical Project Manager and wider project team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overall management and delivery of mechanical services across allocated projects
- Taking ownership of project programmes, budgets, procurement and delivery
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and specialist contractors
- Working closely with the electrical Project Manager to ensure successful project delivery
- Reviewing and interpreting drawings, specifications and design information
- Managing specialist subcontractor packages and procurement
- Developing project programmes and monitoring progress against key deadlines
- Coordinating labour, materials and plant requirements
- Attending meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders
- Monitoring quality and ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and relevant standards
- Managing variations, commercial performance and project costs alongside the Quantity Surveyor
- Monitoring subcontractor performance and agreeing accounts
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme
- Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting
- Supporting client relationships and contributing to repeat business opportunities
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Project Manager
- Strong experience delivering fit-out projects
- Previous experience working with Tier 1 fit-out contractors - essential
- Experience with commercial Cat B fit-out and/or plant replacement projects
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services
- Experience managing mechanical subcontractors and specialist CDP packages
- Good understanding of project programmes, procurement and commercial management
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to take ownership of projects from start through to completion
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality requirements
