Mechanical Service Engineer

If so, this exciting new role could be for you! Our client is a leading manufacturer, installer and servicer of heavy industrial machinery used across the UK. They are looking for an Mechanical Service Engineer to join their team and help delivering service, installation and troubleshooting of machinery to high quality standard

Responsibilities:

• You will carry out site visits to undertake inspections or mechanical service/ fitting work
• Ensure that respective site work is carried out to a satisfactory standard and that all issues arising during the site work are dealt with immediately and in a professional manner
• You will manage the relationship with the client on site
• You will create site reports on completion of site work
• You will maximise time on site by liaising with the Regional Field Manager and internal colleagues to ensure any technical or site issues have been discussed and work is completed satisfactory.
• Work closely with suppliers and sub-contractors
• You will enjoy the hands-on aspect of the role and actively participate in site as well as job preparation work

Requirements

• You ideally will have completed an apprentice scheme or an NVQ minimum Level 2 in an Engineering discipline and you will have a minimum of four years’ experience. Mechanically minded and experienced within maintenance or service field.
• You enjoy working with a variety of people and are confident to build relationships with clients and suppliers.
• You have worked previously on site.
• The ability to weld would be advantageous.
• You need to be conversant with Microsoft office
• A clean driving licence is vital
• located in commutable distance to Portadown

Hours

Core hours are 7.00 – 3.30 but engineers often start earlier which is then paid as over time, still door to door.

• 23 days + 8 Bank Hols, increases by 1 day till 33 days plus 8 banks
• Company bonus: 10 % of the company’s profit before tax is shared amongst all employees
• Company Van is provided
• Can earn anywhere between £5k - £7K extra in overtime
• Sick Bonus: £50 a quarter
• Pension Scheme
