A specialist SEN school in Maidenhead is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Counsellors, Therapists, Mental Health Practitioners, or Teachers.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of mental health, emotional, and additional needs.
  • Support students with their emotional wellbeing, confidence, resilience, and self-regulation.
  • Help students develop positive coping strategies and engage positively with learning and school life.
  • Build trusting and supportive relationships with students, providing encouragement and reassurance throughout the school day.

We're looking for a Mental Health Assistant who is:

  • Compassionate, patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about supporting young people.
  • A confident communicator with a genuine passion for mental health and SEN.
  • Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology, mental health, therapy, or education.
  • Able to build strong, positive, and professional relationships with students and colleagues.

  • Pay: £93-£110 per day
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Contract: Full-time
