Mental Health Crisis Worker – Bank Shifts

Tezlom Healthcare is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Workers to support a mental health service based in Uxbridge, London.
This role involves providing non-clinical, practical, emotional and recovery-focused support to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. You will work alongside mental health professionals and support service users to promote independence, wellbeing and positive recovery outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in mental health support, community services, supported living or those with an educational background in psychology who are passionate about making a difference.
Responsibilities
- Providing emotional and practical support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- Supporting service users during periods of distress or crisis.
- Encouraging engagement with support plans, activities and community resources.
- Promoting independence, confidence and recovery-focused outcomes.
- Building positive and professional relationships with service users.
- Supporting individuals with social inclusion and daily wellbeing activities.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
- Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and wider support teams.
Essential requirements
- Previous experience working within mental health services, supported living, community support, outreach or similar settings.
- Good understanding of mental health, recovery approaches and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
- Flexibility to work bank shifts, including evenings, weekends and nights when required.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Degree or qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Mental Health Studies or a related field.
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions, emotional distress or complex needs.
- Knowledge of therapeutic approaches and recovery-based support.
