We are currently recruiting for an experienced MEP Lead to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Sintra, Portugal.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Europe's leading data centre contractors, delivering some of the continent's largest and most technically advanced mission-critical projects. You will be responsible for leading all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all MEP activities from design through construction, commissioning, and final handover.
• Manage multidisciplinary MEP teams, including Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate project schedules with Project Managers, Planners, Design Teams, and subcontractors.
• Oversee technical reviews, design coordination, and approval of technical submittals and method statements.
• Ensure all MEP installations comply with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
• Drive commissioning readiness and coordinate handover activities.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to senior management.
• Identify technical, commercial, and programme risks and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and key project stakeholders.
• Promote the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) compliance.
• Support forecasting, project planning, resource management, and commercial activities.
• Ensure successful project delivery within programme and budget.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' experience delivering large-scale MEP construction projects.
• Previous experience in an MEP Lead, MEP Manager, or Senior Project Management role.
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, design coordination, construction sequencing, and commissioning.
• Experience delivering data centre, mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and programme management experience.
