M&E Project Manager

MEP Project Manager required for our M&E client on a new site in redhill.

Paying £280-£360 a day depending on qualifications/ experience.

Key Responsibilities -

Business Development/Identifying Project Opportunities - Reaching out to clients, open dialogue where possible in attempt to build stronger relationships and in turn secure more work to financial growth.

Develop and Manage Enquiries - to Interact with clients, the pre-construction team and sub-contractors to ensure project submissions and deadlines are achieved.

Sub Contractor Selection and Management - Procure and interact with numerous sub-contractors & review their suitability regularly.

To Actively encourage feedback from the team of Project Managers and Supervisors on sub contractor performance.

They must be able to gain high level security clearance through the client

Key Responsibilities-

  1. Procurement & Technical Coordination

  1. Manage procurement of plant, materials, and subcontractors
  2. Track technical submittals to establish approved before works commence
  3. Oversee supply chain scope of works
  4. Raise RFIs and manage design queries

  1. Commercial & Contractual

  1. Support valuations and supply chain applications- providing percentage progress of activities
  2. Highlight variations and contract changes- any works outside of scope and reporting any damage caused by our supply chain (if any)
  3. Monitor and approve timesheets where required- ensure daily sign in sheets are completed and signed

  1. Construction Phase Management

  1. Manage detailed construction programmes (including 3-week look-ahead)- weekly drop line added and sent to CM to report upstream
  2. Produce progress reports and track project performance- weekly
  3. Manage subcontractors and on site labour- daily against programme and in line with Dabs meetings
  4. Coordinate material deliveries, storage, and logistics- inline with 3 week look ahead programme to avoid last minute orders
  5. Raise and manage orders and plant hire
  6. Ensure all RAMS are implemented, signed, and maintained
  7. Oversee QA/QC processes including ITPs and check sheets- issue report weekly
  8. Manage RFIs, change control, and document control (IFC drawings)
  9. Organise lifting plans and ensure compliance
  10. Maintain accurate site records and reporting
  11. Dabs meeting attendance
  12. Ensure any requests outside of scope are highlighted and reported to CM
  13. Good communication skills when speaking with Main contractor
  14. Must be able to gain security clearance EL2 or CTC

  1. Health, Safety & Compliance

  1. Maintain and manage the site H&S file and documentation
  2. Ensure all works comply with health and safety legislation
  3. Manage weekly compliance documentation (PUWER, LOLER, etc.)
  4. Lead safe systems of work and site inductions

  1. Commissioning

  1. Manage commissioning plans and packs, with input from contracts manager.
  2. Coordinate commissioning activities and stakeholders
  3. Ensure completion of test documentation (e.g. NIC EIC forms)
  4. Oversee commissioning methodology and programme delivery

  1. Handover - Liaise with Q/HSE

Deliver full project handover documentation including:

  1. Red line drawings
  2. Regulation 38 Fire Safety documents

Candidates do not need to be exp[erienced in all the points above but should be competent in a mechanical and electrical managerial role/environment and willing to learn on the job.
