We are recruiting for a prestigious employer within the motor trade industry in Reading, Berkshire, seeking an experienced MET Technician to join their busy bodyshop environment. Duties of an MET Technician:
  • Conduct mechanical repairs and bodywork on allocated vehicles
  • Dismantling, fault finding, and diagnostic work to identify issues accurately
  • Re-assemble vehicles using new parts as required
  • Perform inspections and testing to ensure vehicle safety and quality
  • Identify faults or work that requires attention, prioritising safety considerations
  • Safe and legal road testing of vehicles to confirm repair quality and road worthiness
Requirements of an MET Technician:
  • Demonstrable experience as an MET Technician within a busy bodyshop environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality work
  • Full UK driving licence
  • ATA or NVQ qualifications are preferred but not essential
  • Time-served individuals with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
