We are currently seeking an experienced MET Technician to join a reputable workshop in Dagenham, representing a well-established employer committed to quality and professionalism. Duties of the MET Technician: 
  • Strip and refit vehicles before and after repairs or paintwork
  • Remove and refit bumpers, doors, trims, dashboards, and interior components
  • Perform suspension and general mechanical repairs related to accident repairs
  • Remove, refit, and check vehicle electrical components and wiring
  • Conduct diagnostic checks to identify faults or additional damage
  • Carry out wheel alignments and geometry work when required
  • Identify additional parts or repairs during the repair process
  • Work with ADAS and Hybrid systems, with training provided for qualified individuals
  • Ensure vehicles are safely reassembled to a high standard
  • Collaborate with Panel, Paint, and Parts teams to maintain workflow efficiency
Requirements of the MET Technician:
  • Previous experience as an MET Technician or Stripper Fitter
  • Confident working with mechanical, electrical, and trim components across various makes and models
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • MET qualifications such as ATA, NVQ, IMI, or City & Guilds preferred
  • Hybrid and ADAS qualifications are advantageous but not essential; training available
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
