Duties for the Commercial MET Technician:
  • Perform high-quality vehicle repairs, including welding and filler work
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on a variety of commercial vehicles such as HGVs, vans, and fleet cars
  • Conduct trailer repairs and welding activities as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Prepare vehicles for repair, including sanding, masking, and surface preparation
  • Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats with precision
  • Carry out minor bodywork repairs and filler application
  • Conduct thorough quality control checks on all work completed
  • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and production targets
Requirements for the Commercial MET Technician:
  • Proven experience as a MET Technician, Auto Electrician, or similar role in automotive or commercial vehicle sectors
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair processes including welding, filler work, and trailer repairs
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols within an automotive repair environment
  • Experience working on HGVs, vans, and cars
  • Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to delivering high standards of workmanship
  • Flexibility to handle a variety of repair tasks and adapt to workshop demands
