Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced MET Technician to join a market leading vehicle specialist company based in Birmingham. Qualifications

Essential:

• Proven track record as an MET Technician/ Strip & Fitter within an accident repair/ body shop environment
• Thorough understanding of vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim components
• Ability to work confidently and accurately on your own initiative with minimal supervision

Desirable:

• ATA/ NVQ Level 3 in MET or Vehicle Body Repair
• Awareness or certification in handling Electric and Hybrid vehicles

Roles & Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently dismantle damaged vehicles, identifying and documenting any hidden or secondary damage.
• Rebuild vehicles post-repair, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and trim components are correctly reinstalled to manufacturer specifications.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve Electrical/ Mechanical faults, ensuring safety critical systems are fully functional
• Conduct final checks on rebuilds to ensure flawless alignment, fitment and functionality before the vehicle moves to the next stage or back to the customer
• Managing your own workload effectively, working unsupervised whilst maintaining a consistent workflow

Requirements

As a MET Technician/ Strip & Fiter, you will also be expected to:

• Work closely with the workshop team and management to ensure timely completion of vehicle repairs
