About the Role
As an MFL Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop student's confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in a foreign language. You will help pupils gain a deeper understanding of international cultures and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality language lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach one or more languages (e.g. French, Spanish, German) depending on specialism
- Develop student's fluency, grammar understanding, and cultural awareness
- Assess, track, and report on student progress
- Prepare students for GCSE language qualifications
- Encourage communication and participation in the target language
- Contribute to enrichment activities such as language clubs or trips abroad
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Modern Foreign Languages or related subject (desirable but not required)
- Strong fluency in at least one taught language
- Passion for language learning and cultural education
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Willingness to contribute to wider school life
