About the Role

Adecco are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business for an experienced TIG/MIG Welder / Fabricator to join their production team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist engineering company that designs and manufactures high-quality products for a range of industries including marine, offshore, defence, power generation and industrial sectors.

Reporting to the Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for the fabrication, fitting and welding of aluminium and stainless-steel components, working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality finished products.



Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out TIG and MIG welding on aluminium and stainless steel components.
  • Perform butt and fillet welds to a high standard.
  • Fabricate and assemble products from detailed engineering drawings.
  • Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure specifications are met.
  • Use jigs and fixtures to support efficient and repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of fabrication and welding processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to quality, productivity and safety.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider production team.


Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven TIG welding experience with aluminium and stainless steel is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Previous experience within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Reliable, self-motivated and able to manage workload effectively.
  • Flexible approach with a willingness to support business needs.
  • MIG welding experience on aluminium and stainless steel would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and welding qualifications where required.
