We are keen to speak with Welder Fabricators who have experience within heavy engineering, fabrication, structural steel, pressure vessels, or similar manufacturing environments.

The Welder Fabricator role will involve:

  • Fabricating brackets, framework and pipework as part of the assembly and completion of large engineering products
  • Carrying out both MIG and Manual Metal Arc (MMA/Stick) welding to a high standard
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to manufacture fabricated components
  • Using fabrication machinery including press brakes, guillotines, radial arm drills, oxy-acetylene equipment and hand tools
  • Working to high quality standards whilst meeting production deadlines
  • Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean and safe working environment

In return, the Welder Fabricator will receive:

  • £16.79 per hour
  • 5 Hours per week, 7.45 am - 3.45 pm Monday to Thurs with 11.30 am finish on Fridays
  • Generous overtime paid at time and a half after 37.5 hours with double time on Sundays
  • 33 days holiday
  • 10% combined pension contribution

Welder Fabricator requirements:

  • Apprentice trained in Fabrication and Welding or hold relevant City & Guilds qualifications would be ideal
  • Previous experience in MIG and MMA (Stick) welding
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using fabrication machinery and workshop equipment
  • Overhead crane experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided

Based in Leeds, the welder fabricator role is easily commutable from Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Batley and the surrounding areas.
