We are currently recruiting a MIG Welder / Fabricator to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced welders looking for a permanent role with long-term career development in a modern heavy manufacturing environment.
 
Location: Tyrone, Northern Ireland
Salary: £37,000 per annum
Working Hours:
  • Monday - Wednesday: 6:00am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 6:00am - 4:45pm
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Relocation Support: Available
 
About the Role
As a MIG Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality MIG welding and fabrication work on heavy machinery and engineering components. You will work from engineering drawings to manufacture products to the required specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out MIG welding and fabrication to the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Weld components using the correct welding techniques and materials.
  • Complete fabrication duties as required.
  • Meet production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Ensure finished products are free from defects, excessive spatter and poor-quality finishes.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving welding and fabrication issues.
  • Operate workshop equipment safely and carry out routine equipment checks.
  • Safely move production components using overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Follow safe lifting, lock-out and tag-out procedures.
  • Ensure tools, gas cylinders and equipment are correctly stored and maintained.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in MIG welding.
  • Previous experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Experience working within a heavy manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
  • Flexible approach and willingness to support different production activities when required.
