MIG Welder

Are you an experienced MIG Welder looking for your next opportunity with a well-established engineering company?

We're recruiting for a skilled welder to join a busy workshop in Ipswich on a rolling contract. This is a varied role where you'll be carrying out predominantly MIG welding, alongside some TIG welding and general fabrication duties. You'll be working on a range of projects in a clean, organised workshop with regular overtime available at enhanced rates.

To be considered, you'll need to be confident welding both mild and stainless steel and capable of producing high-quality work with minimal supervision. You'll also need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to weld symbols and industry standards.

The Role:

• MIG welding mild and stainless steel (2mm-15mm)
• Occasional TIG welding
• Fabricating using a range of hand and power tools
• Operating cutting, drilling and grinding machinery
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Working to health & safety procedures at all times

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum of 5 years' welding experience
• Strong MIG welding skills with TIG experience
• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• Confident reading engineering drawings and weld symbols
• Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work

What's On Offer:

• £15.00 - £16.00 per hour
• Enhanced overtime rates
• 06:30 - 15:00 Monday to Friday
• Rolling contract
