We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Plant Engineer on behalf of a reputable national fleet company based around Dartford. Duties of the Mobile Plant Engineer:
  • Servicing and repairing a diverse fleet of utility vehicles, including plant machinery and commercial vans
  • Conducting routine maintenance such as brakes, clutches, timing belts, suspension, and turbo replacements
  • Performing occasional gearbox repairs, primarily under warranty
  • Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer standards and high quality
  • Managing stock orders through company accounts with pre-approval for external purchases
  • Supporting emergency response via the on-call rota as required
  • Maintaining accurate service records and reports
  • Supporting the company's commitment to delivering reliable and efficient vehicle maintenance
Requirements of the Mobile Plant Engineer:
  • Level 3 qualified technician or plant mechanic
  • Proven experience working on commercial vehicles, particularly utility vans and plant machinery
  • Proficiency in diagnostics, servicing, and repairs for vehicles aged from 6 months to 6 years
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team as a Mobile Plant Engineer
  • Full UK driving licence
