Mortgage & Protection Administrator 

An established and respected Independent Financial Adviser is looking for an experienced Mortgage Administrator to join our successful Mortgage and Protection team based in Horsham.

This role will provide essential administrative support to our advisers, ensuring mortgage and protection cases are managed efficiently, accurately, and within agreed timescales. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing client queries, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring each case progresses smoothly from application through to completion.

They are seeking a proactive and organised individual who takes pride in providing solutions, maintaining strong client relationships, and seeing tasks through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage mortgage applications from submission through to legal completion and post-completion stages.
  • Process and monitor protection applications through to completion.
  • Request, review, and chase outstanding documentation to ensure applications meet compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with solicitors to obtain updates on exchange and completion timelines.
  • Follow up with GP surgeries and medical providers regarding required information.
  • Monitor client communications, manage repeat client accounts, and provide ongoing support.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, lenders, solicitors, and conveyancers.
  • Maintain accurate records, update internal systems, and ensure files are kept fully up to date.
  • Work closely with advisers to ensure all activities meet regulatory and compliance standards.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience within Mortgage and/or Protection Administration.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities with a thorough and accurate approach to work.
  • A professional, self-motivated, and reliable attitude.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, manage competing deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
  • A collaborative team player with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
