We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of MOT Technician in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced MOT Technician seeking to join a reputable, well-established garage with multiple locations nationwide. The MOT Technician will be a key member of the service team, ensuring vehicle safety standards are met through comprehensive MOT testing and vehicle repairs.

  • On-target earnings (OTE) approximately £38,000
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm; Saturdays on a rota, 8:30am – 4:00pm

Duties of an MOT Technician:
  • Carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA requirements
  • Performing repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles
  • Accurately completing all relevant paperwork and test documentation
  • Delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Maintaining high standards of safety and compliance within the workshop
Requirements of an MOT Technician:
  • NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Valid MOT Testing Licence
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Strong team player with a customer-first mindset
