Experienced MOT Tester / Mechanic

Graham Walker Ltd is a well-established family-run independent business specialising in performance, prestige and sports vehicles. We are looking for an experienced and reliable MOT Tester / Mechanic to join our workshop team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys working on a wide range of quality vehicles in a friendly and professional environment.

The Role

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out MOT tests to the required DVSA standards
  • Servicing and maintaining a variety of vehicles
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
  • Carrying out general mechanical repairs and maintenance
  • Preparing vehicles to a high standard
  • Identifying and reporting additional work required
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
  • Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced MOT Tester / Mechanic
  • A qualified and authorised MOT Tester
  • Confident carrying out mechanical diagnostics and repairs
  • Reliable, hardworking and punctual
  • Professional and customer-focused
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Passionate about cars and committed to high-quality workmanship
  • In possession of a full, valid UK driving licence

Experience working with performance, prestige or specialist vehicles would be an advantage.
