We are seeking an experienced and qualified MOT Tester to join a leading car dealership group in North Bristol.

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 8:30am-2:00pm, paid at time and a half
Duties of the MOT Tester:
  • Conduct MOT tests on customer vehicles in accordance with Ministry standards
  • Diagnose and carry out essential service and repair work
  • Support workshop activities to ensure efficient workflow
  • Liaise with workshop team members to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to health and safety policies
  • Assist with additional workshop support tasks as required as an MOT Tester
Requirements of the MOT Tester:
  • Valid Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licences
  • A UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Qualification to IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred
  • Alternatively, significant time-served experience as a vehicle mechanic with an active MOT licence is acceptable
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of workmanship
  • Prior experience in a franchise dealership environment is advantageous but not essential
