We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable automotive repair business with multiple sites, for the position of MOT Tester in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to join a growing company committed to safety, quality, and customer service.

Duties of an MOT Tester:
  • Conduct MOT tests in accordance with Government standards and protocols
  • Maintain high standards of vehicle safety and compliance
  • Support customers by explaining test results, repairs needed, and reasons for failures
  • Support workshop operations by diagnosing and assisting with related repairs and servicing
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction
  • Support the team with general workshop duties as required
Requirements of an MOT Tester:
  • Active Class 4, 5, and 7 MOT testing licence
  • UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Ideally hold IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Alternatively, be a time-served vehicle mechanic with extensive experience and a valid MOT licence
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
