We are representing a reputable, family-run independent service centre in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join their well-established team. This is an excellent MOT Tester opportunity for experienced vehicle technicians looking to advance their career within a supportive and customer-focused environment.

Dutiesof a MOT Tester:
  • Conduct MOT tests on customers’ vehicles in accordance with Ministry standards
  • Diagnose vehicle issues and carry out service and repair work as necessary
  • Provide workshop support to ensure efficient operations
  • Liaise effectively with team members to maintain workflow and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections and repairs
  • Uphold quality standards and compliance with safety regulations
Requirements of a MOT Tester:
  • Valid Class 4 and Class 7 MOT testing licences
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Ideally NVQ Level 3 or IMI qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; however, experienced time-served mechanics with active MOT licences will also be considered
  • Proven experience in vehicle servicing and repairs
  • Strong communication skills and team player attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently and uphold high standards of quality
This MOT Tester position offers flexible hours suitable for those seeking either full-time or part-time employment. The full-time schedule runs Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 5:30pm, with two 30-minute breaks.
