We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable family-run main dealer in St Helens, for the position of MOT Tester. Benefits:
  • Competitive salary of £36,000 per annum, with potential earnings up to £40,000 including overtime and incentives
  • Permanent, full-time position with 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Flexible working hours from 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on a rota and time off in lieu

Duties:
  • Conduct MOT tests on a wide range of vehicles efficiently and to industry standards
  • Ensure all testing procedures are completed accurately within designated times
  • Complete detailed documentation and reports for each vehicle tested
  • Provide professional advice and feedback to customers regarding their vehicles
  • Support the workshop team with vehicle inspections and repair jobs as required
  • Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service throughout all tasks
Requirements:
  • Relevant MOT Tester qualification and current UK testing certification
  • Experience operating 4-post MOT testing equipment
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and testing procedures
  • Reliable, diligent, with excellent organisational skills
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
