Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 (dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join a busy, well-regarded Technology department at a leading South London college. You'll deliver teaching across Level 1 & 2 City & Guilds and Level 3 BTEC Motor Vehicle qualifications, covering areas including Motor Vehicle Service, PHEV, Electric Vehicle, MOT Testing, Air Conditioning and Repair.

Working closely with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager and wider Engineering team, you'll share your industry knowledge with students, support them to achieve at the highest level, and help drive continuous improvement within the college. The role also includes acting as a personal tutor- offering pastoral support, promoting attendance, helping students secure suitable work placements, and contributing to course planning, development and review.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in a discipline related to Motor Vehicle Service and Repair
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) or above in English and Maths
  • Minimum Level 3 Teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant industry experience
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current industry practice
