Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Company Overview:

Our client is a well established independent garage, part of a small group of expanding companies. They are looking for an experienced car mechanic or motor vehicle technician to join their small Maidenhead team, working on a wide range of cars, motor homes and small commercial vehicles.

This is a company with very strong customer service ethics and they have an excellent reputation locally. As part of a growing business they will support you with training and personal development - e.g. MOT testing certification, training on EV, or support if you wish to specialise in light commercial vehicles. 

If you currently work at a main dealership you might enjoy the opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicles without the strict KPI targets that some companies operate in.

Motor Vehicle Technician Role and Responsibilities:

• Mechanical diagnosis, service and repair of a wide variety of cars, light commercial vehicles and camper vans
• Preparation of vehicles for MOT testing

Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Skills and Experience:

• You should be a fully qualified Vehicle Technician or MOT Tester
• You should hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification
• Desirable: current MOT tester license
• Proven experience servicing and repairing cars and / or other motor vehicles, whether in an independent garage or main dealer
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting
