The Role

As MPS Planner, you will be responsible for managing the short-term production plan and customer order schedule, ensuring customer demand is aligned with available manufacturing capacity.

You will play a key role in keeping production realistic, achievable, and responsive, working closely with teams across Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production, Purchasing, Dispatch, Quality, and Engineering.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining the short-term production plan and orderbook
  • Translating customer demand into achievable production schedules
  • Creating and releasing production orders via ERP systems
  • Monitoring capacity constraints, backlog, and overdue orders
  • Communicating delivery risks, changes, and constraints clearly and promptly
  • Prioritising urgent orders and managing schedule changes
  • Supporting daily planning and cross-functional coordination meetings
  • Maintaining accurate system data and planning documentation

Our client is looking for:

  • Experience in planning, supply chain, order management, or similar operational roles
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred)
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Confident working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Clear communicator with the ability to manage priorities and escalate appropriately
