We're recruiting experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a well-established manufacturing business in Stockport, offering a £50,000 basic salary, additional shift allowances and overtime opportunities taking potential earnings to approximately £67,500.

Working within a busy production facility, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of mechanical, electrical and automated manufacturing equipment. This is a varied, hands-on role offering long-term stability, technical challenges and opportunities to develop your engineering skills.

Job Description

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to machinery breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across production equipment.
• Maintain CNC machinery, conveyors, motors, drives, gearboxes and automated systems.
• Fault-find on hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Identify recurring issues and implement improvements to reduce downtime.
• Support equipment upgrades, engineering projects and continuous improvement.
• Complete maintenance records and ensure safe working practices.

Person Specification

• Previous maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing or production.
• Recognised mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled engineering apprenticeship.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Practical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and industrial machinery.
• Confident diagnosing breakdowns and working independently.
• Proactive, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
• Experience with CNC machinery, PLCs, robotics or automated production equipment would be particularly advantageous.

Shifts & Benefits

£50,000 basic salary plus shift allowance and overtime.

Potential earnings of approximately £67,500.

Choice of shift patterns:

• Rotating Days: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm, Monday to Friday.
• Permanent Nights: 10pm–6am, Monday to Thursday, with Fridays off.

Permanent, site-based position with no field travel.

Varied engineering workload and exposure to modern manufacturing equipment.
