ROLE: Multi-Trade Operative
LOCATION: Leicester
HOURS: Full-Time | Permanent
SALARY: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum (with excellent earning potential above basic salary)
Frontline Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and reliable Multi-Trade Operative to join a growing team based in Leicester. Working primarily within the social housing sector, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to carry out a variety of maintenance, repair, and refurbishment works across occupied and void properties while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

THE ROLE
- Carrying out mould treatment and prevention works within occupied properties.
- Completing full bathroom installations, including plumbing, tiling, and finishing works.
- Undertaking kitchen installations, including fitting units, worktops, and associated trade work.
- Refurbishing void properties to meet lettable standards.
- Carrying out painting and decorating to a high standard.
- Completing general multi-trade repairs, including:
- Basic carpentry
- Plumbing
- Patch plastering
- Diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues efficiently and effectively.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining clean, safe, and organised work areas.
- Providing excellent customer service while communicating professionally with tenants, clients, and colleagues.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience as a Multi-Trade Operative within the social housing sector or a similar environment.
- Strong practical skills across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, and decorating.
- Experience carrying out mould treatment and damp-related repairs (desirable).
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage workloads.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Reliable, proactive, and capable of delivering work to a consistently high standard.
